A high-level delegation from Belize is on the way to Ukraine to meet with the country’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The group, led by President of the Senate Carolyn Trench Sandiford, includes Senator Isabel Bennett, Senator Collet Montejo, and Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Belize, Rolando Montero. On Wednesday, the delegation embarked on a diplomatic mission to Ukraine and is scheduled to arrive in Kyiv tomorrow. During their visit, the delegation will engage in a series of important meetings with President Zelenskyy and other senior government officials. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties between Belize and Ukraine, as well as exploring potential areas for collaboration between the two nations. In addition to their time in Ukraine, the delegation will also travel to Budapest, Hungary, where they are set to continue their diplomatic engagements. The delegation says the visit underscores Belize's commitment to fostering international relations and enhancing cooperation with European countries.
