Introducing the second installment of our webinar series, “An Hour for Knowledge, Knowledge for the Future,” held on May 14, 2024. This session focused on gas quality and the changes biomethane introduces for gas system operators and users. Presentations on biomethane quality control analysis systems were delivered by Mr. Norbert Meszaros and Mr. Marco Bedin from Endress+Hauser Group Services.

The series is designed to enhance the expertise of gas Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and prepare all stakeholders—including other operators, policymakers, regulatory authorities, system users, gas producers, and system integrators—for the integration of new gases. It aims to help them adjust operations, flows, and communications in line with the evolving requirements of the EU Green Deal, the Decarbonisation agenda, and the forthcoming new gas package.

In the changing energy and gas system landscape, sharing and expanding knowledge about technical, conceptual, and regulatory challenges is crucial for achieving decarbonisation by 2050.
