SSQ-6 Silver Solder Paste and a propane torch are used to braze a stainless steel plate to copper tubing. Mike gives step by step instructional tips and troubleshooting. It's important to get to the working temperature as soon as possible so the flux doesn't separate from the metals in the paste. When working on thicker metals an oxyacetylene torch is advised. We added more paste than needed for the job for demonstration purposes. The syring will come with an applicator/needle that screws on at the tip. Always heat both parts evenly for the best result. The paste can be added after the parts are heated. If applying the SSQ-6 paste when hot make sure not to touch the metal applicator tip to the parent metal. The torch seen in the video is available on the muggyweld.com website.
