Here's a how to on replacing the hard drive in a older macbook pro that is more similar to the powerbook in build. The hard drive takes some time getting to, but it's definitely doable if you have the patience and organizational skills for the screws.

You'll need:
1. New hard drive (2.5" SATA, must be the standard 9.5mm height if i remember correctly)
2. Spudger tool (non marring black stick)
3. T6 and PH00 screwdrivers or bits.
