Jordan is in an interesting situation, to say the very least. It's right in the middle of the Middle East which is known as being the most war-torn part of the world. Despite this, it's managed to stay peaceful and prosperous for decades. While Israel goes to war with Hamas and Hezbollah, Syria deals with a Civil War, Iraq suffers from the consequences of invasion and occupation, and Saudi Arabia wages a proxy war with the Houthis in Yemen, Jordan exists peacefully in the middle of it all. So why doesn't anyone ever go to war with Jordan?

In this episode, we'll cover the history of Jordan and how its evolved over the centuries, the physical geography of the country and region at large, and why Jordan is so peaceful when its neighbors are not.
