Mysterium!Together is a multimedia show, that connects two separate venues and two separate live performances by way of digital transmission.
While Ensemble Caprice, Ensemble ArtChoral and the choir Nigra Sum perform music by Andrew Balfour, JS Bach, Matthias Maute as well as the gospel Clap your hands in one hall, the dancers (choreographer Anne-Rose-Cupidon) dance to the music in real time, however in a separate venue.
Two independant live performances are connected by technology!
While the concert hall featured the dance choreography on a large screen behind the musicians, the dancers received the live feed of the audio and followed the concert visually on screens in their venue.
Mysterium!Together reflects upon the mystery of living together in a diverse society in the 21st century, where music and arts show the way to becoming a harmonious collective that brings together people of different backgrounds and reconciliates manmade arts with technology.
As next step videographer Marie-Cécile Dietlin transformed the live experience into videoart, that not only reflects the synchronisation of two independant performances, but also adds visual twists that not only shed light on our relationship with both music and dance but also lead questioning ourselves in an environment where technology dominates the human existence.
Ensemble Caprice is the driving force behind the project.
