Senate Minority Leader James Orengo appears to have opened a political salvo by accusing Deputy President William Ruto of being insincere in his endorsement of constitutional review. Orengo alleges that Ruto’s conditional support for the proposed referendum is misleading, denying claims that the opposition was trying to create an office for Raila Odinga. Orengo spoke even as a section of political leaders vowed to reject any proposal to expand the executive.
