What is the difference between a Cape Buffalo and the American Bison?
There are a number of difference between these two guys namely; their horns, their hair, and the size of their head and shoulders. However, differentiating factor is probably the animals length. The American bison wins in the length department: A bison bull can grow up to 12.5 feet from head to rump and weigh as much as 2,200 pounds. Whilst the Cape buffalo comes in second in length, at around 11 feet and weighs in at a little less than 2,000 pounds
