A long time ago, in a kingdom ruled by a tyrant king who forced his people to worship idols, there lived a group of young men who believed in Allah. They refused to worship anything other than the one true God, despite the king's orders. These young men had strong faith and were determined to hold onto their belief in Allah, no matter the consequences.
When the king learned about their defiance, he threatened to kill them if they did not abandon their faith. Fearing for their lives but trusting in Allah, the young men fled the city and took refuge in a cave. They prayed to Allah for protection, asking Him to guide them through this difficult time.
By Allah’s will, they fell into a deep sleep. Miraculously, they slept for 300 years, unaware of the passing of time. During this period, their dog also stayed at the entrance of the cave, protecting them.
When they finally awoke, they felt as if they had only slept for a day or part of a day. Unaware of the centuries that had passed, they sent one of their members to buy food from the nearby town, thinking the situation was still the same.
However, when the young man arrived in the town, he noticed that everything had changed. The people, their language, and even their currency were different. Confused, he handed over an ancient coin, which alerted the townspeople. Realizing that the young man was from a time long past, they took him back to the cave to meet the others.
The townspeople were amazed by the miracle of these young men who had slept for centuries. It was a sign of Allah’s power to give life and death and to protect those who have faith in Him. After their story spread, Allah caused the young men to pass away peacefully. A masjid (place of worship) was built near the cave in their honor.
