David Popa Arts was born and raised in NYC currently based in Finland. His interest in Street Art/Contemporary Muralism was the catalyst for the work he presently creates. His current body of work uses all-natural pigments mixed only with the source water to create site-specific, ephemeral earth-works captured through the eye of a drone. Through his work, Popa beckons the viewer to consider the nature of our brief existence and relish in its profound mysteries and everyday miracles.
“Redemption”, the artists' latest work, is a massive ephemeral earth fresco mural in the wilderness of Sulitjelma, Norway. "This location was absolutely breathtaking as it is the remnants of where a glacier used to reside. The result is an otherworldly landscape of trickling tiny rivers, mud and moss that seem to mimic veins of the earth and the cracking of skin." - David Popa
