Students and job aspirants gathered in large numbers outside Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s residence in Srinagar holding placards and demanding the rationalisation of Jammu and Kashmir’s reservation policy. The protest, spearheaded by National Conference MP Ruhullah Mehdi, drew support, with opposition leaders Iltija Mufti and Waheed Parra standing alongside the demonstrators. Omar Abdullah’s sons briefly joined the protest, adding to the unfolding drama.
The students, many of whom were visibly frustrated, voiced their demands with clarity and determination. MOJO Story spoke to several participants, who highlighted key grievances, including calls for a fair and merit-based reservation system
