On the 2 Nov 2019 a very old Cavok Air Antonov An-12 arrived at Prestwick from Gander after a 5 hr 8 min flight across the Atlantic. This particular aircraft was first flown by the Soviet Air force in Dec 1962 and flew for 29yrs before leaving military service. It has passed through the hands of various operators and was acquired by Cavok Air in early 2019. This aircraft will be 57 yrs young in Dec 2019 and still wonderful to see it flying. This may be a first visit of this aircraft to Prestwick registered as UR-CSI although it may have visit Prestwick under a different registration previously.
