KCS thunder cab SD70ACE w/ a fantastic raised letter K5LLA leads a nice EMD SD70ACE duo on a westbound manifest headed for Mexico. Absolutely killer K5LLA on the leader and on great horn action. Now it may not beat the original NF K5LLA this unit more than likely once had, but I can assure you that it’s better than another RL K5LA replacement! Don’t get me wrong that K5LA’s sound good on KCS ACE’s, but none can compare to the sound of the rightful horn of the SD70ACE; the K5LLA! Good to see a thunder cab and a EMD duo! I almost went past the crossing for the screaming EMD 710’s, but the K5LLA sounded too good not to go for Doppler effect! I’m glad I did go for the Doppler even tho those screaming 710’s sounded amazing. Recorded on the KCS Laredo Sub in Robstown, Texas on 7/22/2022.
