Time to add some more blue metal and test fit the last original Tamiya parts to the TT-02B! Here is the TT-02 Aluminum Steering Upgrade Set which isn't exactly a direct fit to the Tamiya TT-02 buggy version. Combined with the full TT-02B Turnbuckle Set it does the trick though. The steering is now less flimsy, fully adjustable and spins freely with some more ball bearings.

Wow! ... this got to be the most expensive upgrade so far. The price of the TT-02 Steering Upgrade Set (at least here in Europe) was a little intimidating - especially when taking into account that I won't be able to use all the included turnbuckle parts from the set on the TT-02B. So on top of everything I had to get a full TT-02B turnbuckle set - even though I already had replaced the upper arms with the turnbuckles included in the carbon tower set previously. This is getting ridiculous. But still fun.
If anybody is interested in the same upgrade, but doesn't want to pay extra for the short TT-02 turnbuckles or the servo saver, GPM Racing and other companies got some similar steering options and turnbuckle-packages available for half-the-price. They also got turnbuckles that are firmly secured with screws instead of ball ends, if you plan to run your TT-02B hard.
But I am pleased with the result. It really works smooth - fully adjustable and with full ball bearings - and well, yes, adds some more sturdiness, elegance and bling-bling to this bling-bling project. Looking forward trying out the included high torque servo saver along with the servo mount next time. Hope to see ya.
Note: As seen in the video, the manual of the turnbuckles seem to have the thread direction opposite of reality. I definitely didn't manage to assemble them according to the pictures in the manual.
