Smallholder and family farmers need to be front and centre in the move toward improved food systems and better nutrition in the region. Esther Penunia, Secretary General of the Asia Famer's Association for Sustainable Rural Development, says a further emphasis should be placed on women farmers who often carry additional burdens within the family. She also urges increased moves to better organize farmers into groups for successful integrated farming practices. #FoodSystems
