I made a small display case from solid ash and acrylic glass. Except for the initial milling, for this project I only used the table saw.
The trickiest part was cutting the grooves the glass would fit into. The blade's kerf was 2.4 mm and it produced a very good fit - not too tight, not too lose - to the 2 mm thick acrylic.
Handling such small pieces on the table saw was not easy, nor particularly safe, but I got perfect results using a pushblock.
I finished the case with homemade pastewax (1:1 mineral oil and beeswax).
