Why Athena School of Management? Is it the right choice for you?

I have spent a lot of time making videos about my time at Purdue University given that the theme of this channel is to talk about my professional, academic and personal experiences and that I get asked a lot of questions on the same in my Instagram and Linkedin account. But today I will be talking about my other alma mater that this Athena School of Management. I get asked a lot of questions about Athena too which is why I thought it might be a good idea to talk about why I picked Athena as my pick of business school in India.

1. Ranking: Athena is ranked in the top 20 business schools list (excluding IIMs). Despite its relatively recent inception, Athena has achieved this tremendous feat and will only go from strength to strength.

2. Location: Athena is located in Mumbai, which is the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. Located in Powai, it has access to some of the top corporates in the country.

3. Vision and Mission: Athena's mission of "by wisdom and courage" (Consilio et Animus) is exemplified in all the activities that it carries out.

4. Professor Aditya Singh: Our director, Professor Aditya Singh is the epitome of corporate excellence. At Athena, we get the opportunity to be mentored by him given our small batch size which is priceless. His wealth of knowledge and excellent networks can be leveraged by ambitious students.

5. Multiple Entrance Tests and Scholarship: Athena accepts tests including, but not limited to, NMAT, CAT, its own entrance test, GMAT. I personally gave the GMAT and due to my excellent score and interview, was also provided with a scholarship.

6. International Exposure: Athena gives its students the opportunity to have several interactions with students and universities abroad via joint projects, the Rotaract Club, and Exchange Programs.

7. Extracurricular Activities: Athena has a wealth of extracurricular activities that students can access including the Rotaract Club, Societies, debates, newspaper readings etc.

8. Placements: Athena has the who's who of corporates recruiting from the business school including, but not limited to, The Hersey Company, Ipsos, Edelweiss, Aditya Birla Group, CRISIL Limited, and The Tata Group. Packages for freshers can be expected to be about 6 to 8 LPA CTC.
