On International Day of Women and Girls in Science, 11 February 2019, we celebrated women and girls who are leading innovation and call for actions to remove all barriers that hold them back. At AstraZeneca, women make up 60% of our science workforce. However, less than 30 per cent of researchers worldwide are women. We recognise that long-standing biases and gender stereotypes are still steering girls and women away from science related fields.
