Coming from the south, the river Rayaup flows into the Verdon at Castellane. On the way there, it has carved a small, but in some places quite steep gorge in the rock, which can be navigated on a narrow balcony road D102, about 6 km long. The road connects the village of Castellane with the village of Le Bourguet and passes the medieval church of Saint-Thyrs. The road is well maintained and easy to drive on. In some places there are blind curves where some caution is required. The road is located in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and there in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur.
This route belongs to the so-called "French Balcony Roads".
