Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait announced on Thursday that the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) would organize tractor marches along the country's highways on February 26 amidst the ongoing protests by farmers who are demanding a guarantee law on minimum support price (MSP). He also stated that the SKM would observe a 'black' Friday, demanding an FIR in the death of the farmer at the Khanauri border. A farmer mahapanchayat by SKM at Ram Leela ground in Delhi is to be organized on March 14, with tractor marches in their own areas on February 26.
