A day after both Houses of Parliament witnessed a ruckus over Rahul Gandhi's "democracy under attack" remarks, a stormy session is also expected today. The Opposition is likely to corner the government on the Adani issue and continue with its demand seeking a Joint Parliamentary probe (JPC) into the matter.
Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on Monday without transacting any business on the first day of the second leg of the Budget Session. The first day of the second leg of Union Budget 2023 was marred by a series of disruptions over a number of issues with the Hindenburg report and the Adani Group issue.
The BJP sought an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his remarks, while the Congress alleged that there is no democracy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, the TMC has decided not to attend the Opposition meeting in Parliament today. The party will protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at 10 am.
