In this episode of CBD 101, Tim discusses how CBD’s effects are highly personal, and there is no single ratio, variety, or product that’s right for everyone. The best suggestion to optimize your use of CBD is finding the proper method of consumption and dosage that works best for you through self-experimentation. An effective dosage can range from as little as 10 milligrams of CBD to as much as 100+ mg or more depending on both the individual as well as the effect they are trying to achieve.
Begin with a small dose, especially if you have little or no experience with CBD—10mg is suggested as a minimum, baseline dosage. Take one or more doses over the course of the day rather than one big dose—upon waking and before bed, for example. Use the same amount of CBD consistently for at least several days to give yourself enough time to detect its effect. Observe these effects as you begin to notice them and if necessary, adjust the amount you are consuming.
CBD is generally regarded by researchers as a very safe substance, but it can interact with some common pharmaceuticals. Please consult your physician if are taking other medications, pregnant or have concerns about how CBD may affect your health.
