The ZWO AM3 is capable of phenomenal guiding performance, right out of the box! On my best night, I was getting 0.22" of guiding error, as shown in the thumbnail, with 0.18" error in RA, and 0.13" error in DEC...without adjusting any guiding settings! It is plug and play ready straight out of the box. The AM3 has a mass of 3.9kg, or about 8.5 lbs. The load capacity on the AM3 is about 17.5 lbs without a counterweight, or 28.5 lbs with a counterweight (ZWO says to not use a counterweight that weighs more than 11 lbs). This makes the AM3 capable of carrying heavy loads, while being equally portable for travel. Of course, there is seamless integration with the ASI Air and ZWO products, but it can also be used with a hand controller or via Bluetooth. The mount can be used in alt-az mode for visual observers or convenient EAA, or in the standard equatorial mode.
Overall, I have been extremely impressed with the little AM3, as it gives me fantastic guiding performance consistently without issue.
