President Cyril Ramaphosa says there is light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel, with fewer healthworkers getting infected at this stage of the third wave when compared to the second wave. This, he has attributed to the vaccination of frontline workers.
Ramaphosa was speaking on Tuesday night in an address to the nation - where he also announced that the country has moved to Level 3 of the national lockdown. The move comes after calls for more stricter interventions as the country finds itself in the grip of a third wave of COVID-19 infections.
