Getting Our Philippines National ID. We went to sign up for our PhilSys national ID. It is issued through the Philippines Statistical Authority (PSA). The initial card is free, and for citizens it is a lifetime card. For foreigners it seems to be a 1 year card... maybe. Also there is confusion whether it is required or not. The law clearly says it is required - the PSA says it is optional... Good night, and good luck.
