I loved the original Slime Rancher.

I always struggled to get into those sort of Stardew valley style farm games where you just sort of tend to your land to no real end, but slime rancher was one of the few games that actually got me invested. Cause Stardew valley seemed pretty cool, but I'm not one for fishing minigames and romancing my local librarian or whatever. Slime rancher managed to be the one game of this genre that actually kept me invested the entire time.

Slime rancher is a great game, but it doesn't exactly scream "I need a sequel" does it.

It's pretty cut and dry, the game gets tied up in a neat little bow, there's nothing really suggesting there needs to be a continuation. So when slime rancher 2 was announced, I was excited, but also concerned. It had the potential to be on the soulless cashgrab side of the spectrum, where they're just trying to milk the popularity of a game by remaking the exact same thing with a new coat of paint. And when the game finally came out on steam!

it was an early access release.

So I wanna discuss whether it's worth your time and money in its currently unfinished state...
