Wharton Prof. Witold Henisz – Vice Dean and Faculty Director of Wharton's new ESG Initiative and an expert in social and political risk identification and management– joined Wharton Business Daily to discuss issues that affected the global economy in 2022 and provide his forecast for 2023.
Henisz says the Russia-Ukraine war set off a tendency of global inflation and rising interest rates, which has caused fragility in emerging markets. Combined with the slowdown in the Chinese economy – due to the impact of the zero-COVID policy and a split in the US-China supply chain – these developments have impacted the global economy in 2022 and make political risk high in 2023.
Wharton Business Daily airs Monday-Friday from 10 AM - 12 PM ET on SiriusXM Channel 132, featuring emerging trends, top business leaders & Wharton’s renowned professors. Learn more: [ Ссылка ]
