About Song:

"රොනට වඩින බිඟු ඔබයි" is an old Sinhala Catholic Hymn written and composed by the late Kalashoori Rev. Fr. Marcelin Jayakody O.M.I.
It was originally sung by late Chithra Somapala.

This hymn brings back memories from our childhood as this is one of the most loved hymns of children of all time. This is an effort to inspire our younger generation towards love and kindness in Sri Lankan Catholic way, celebrating the life of Jesus Christ and his love for the mankind ❤️

Personal Reflection: My musical journey was inspired by School Choir from my school days. "රොනට වඩින බිඟු ඔබයි" was one of my most loved hymn that have enjoyed singing and that I always cherished. This is an attempt I took to re-live that moment in my home in front of my own Christmas tree. I hope this Christmas of 2020 will be a memory with this music video that I have put together. Hope you all will enjoy too.

Special gratitude to my teacher - Auntie Mrs. Saroja Sonnadara - She was my inspiration, my teacher and my life coach since the youngest days of my school life. She taught me how to sing, how to act, and how to perform on stage fearlessly and confidently. She made the musical, energetic and the loving human being that I am today. I am forever grateful to her and she always will be my guru, the role model, and the mother who guided me through my passion in art & music.
