Hi,
Facial /Bell's palsy - takes place due to paralysis of Facial nerve (7th Cranial Nerve ).
▶ Due to this facial muscles fail to contract so that facial expression of the patient is lost
▶In the field of physiotherapy these muscles are stimulated with the help of Electrical muscle stimulator equipment .
▶ In this video i have demonstrated the technique that how to apply the galvanic current over different motor point of facial muscles .
▶ Faradic current causes erythemal reaction over muscles in this case which becomes painful spot later on , so that it is not indicated and always start with Galvanic current in the beginning . After the sign of recovery you can switch over to Faradic current afterwards .
▶Electrode used- use the Pen electrode in order to stimulate the individual motor point of specific muscles , because if you use pad electrode over face , then several motor points may get stimulated due to overlapping under pad electrode .
▶ Use saline water- in order to reduce the skin resistance taking place due to any cream/lotion /powder applied over the face . So must clean the skin first before applying EMS.
▶ Use GALVANIC current first - it will beneficial to use it in the beginning . ▶ Always stimulate different motor point separately .
