India hosted its largest-ever multinational air war games at Sulur Air Force Base in Tamil Nadu. Eurofighter typhoons from Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom took part in the exercise. Joining them were Rafales from France. Meanwhile, India deployed its Tejas and SU-30 MKI jets to take part in the drills. As part of the war games, the Indian and NATO jets carried out combat drills, joint communication and electronic warfare techniques and air-to-air refueling. NATO pilots also took sorties on India’s indigenous Tejas jet and also on the Russian-Made SU-30 MKI jets. This was all part of the Tarang Shakti exercise. The Phase 2 of the exercise will be held in the Jodhpur Air Force Station.
