Dakota Theriot was captured early Sunday morning in Richmond County following an overnight manhunt. Theriot has been charged with first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, and home invasion. The 21-year-old allegedly murdered his girlfriend Summer Ernest, 20, along with her brother and father, before returning home to shoot his parents. A motive in the killings has not been revealed, but authorities believe it was a 'boyfriend [and] girlfriend type of dispute', according to WAFB. 'He lived there with the mom and dad for a little while, but was recently asked to leave with some disagreements,' Ascension Sheriff Bobby Webre said. 'But no idea why he would do anything like this.' His father, Keith Theriot, 50, was able to identify him as the gunman with his dying breath.
