YouTuber Irfan entering an operation theatre and cutting the umbilical cord of his new born child had turned into a huge sensation on social media. Irfan had released a video of him cutting the umbilical cord in his YouTube channel. It got 14 lakh views within two days. With the video doing the rounds on social media, show cause notices were issued to the YouTuber as well as to the private hospital in Sholinganallur where the baby was delivered. So is this allowed? Can the husband of a woman accompany her in the labour room? Can he cut the umbilical cord? Senior special correspondent Lakshmi Subramanian with the report.
