In the five years of relentless hardship and bombings during the Second World War, five rooms in this Fort were turned into a specialised unit which oversaw the entrances to the Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour. Today this defence system, better known as the 'Harbour Fire Command', is being restored to its former glory to eventually be experienced by the general public.
Do not miss the chance to learn more about this fortification and others whilst enjoying breath-taking views of our Grand Harbour in the second Harbour Cruise taking place on the coming 21st of July.
