In this video our HBT Torah study group dives into the episode on Mount Sinai where Moshe bears the brunt of G-d's anger over the Golden Calf. For starters, we consider the question of how you talk down someone from their anger? Then we watch Moshe get to the heart of why G-d is so angry and find the words to assuage that anger. How does he do it? Just after that, Moshe has his own fit of anger, smashing the tablets. Are those incidents of anger related? We uncover a surprising connection between Moshe and another legendary figure in the Torah. And finally, how does this story relate to the census that starts off the parsha?
Listen in as the HBT Torah scholars try to make sense of it all.
