With the right and/or wrong timing, you can end up fighting both Avalanche Abaasy and Final Marcus at the same time.
I've been wanting to do this for a while - it's the reason why I initially skipped over Final Marcus when fighting superbosses. Fighting both the lowest (level 100) and highest (level 120) superbosses is a good way to cap things off, I think.
This was a PAIN to coordinate - in order to have a battle where you fight both at the same time, you have to start a fight with one of them and then have the weather change mid-battle... which is luck, to some extent. It's easier to start with Abaasy, as blizzard weather events are shorter than clear weather. Even then, my strategy for triggering this was...
1) Loading a save from a blizzard
2) Killing a really annoying Reef Nebula offscreen so that I don't level up during this fight. Yes this is a concern.
3) Waiting until 5 minutes have passed from loading the save.
4) Starting the fight with Abaasy
The strategy I was going for in this fight was my standard chain attack start strategy against Abaasy, and then doing the same when Final Marcus spawned. DoT effects only obliterate the latter, so I had to do quite a few chains against Abaasy to keep the damage going. Well, that and relying on the sheer force of Riki's anger (which did about 3/8 of Abaasy's total HP in damage in all). Beyond that, it was a matter of flailing around in a panic to keep the team alive.
Build's the same one I normally use, even though I did still have the Spike Defence gems equipped - it would've theoretically been useful for Marcus should he have gotten too close.
