As California schools continue to require masks on campuses, some parents have expressed concerns about the potential effects wearing a mask has on their kids. Northern California medical professionals talked to KCRA 3 News to separate fact from fiction. "Masks are really designed just to protect you and to protect others," doctorally prepared nurse Dr. Ginger Manss of Community Medical Center said. Dr. Manss addressed ongoing concerns, such as the claim that masks trap carbon dioxide and that face covering may change a child's growing features.
