(18 Dec 2017) An Afghan official says an attack was underway on Monday in the country's capital, where gunmen have raided and occupied a partially constructed building near an intelligence training centre in western Kabul.
Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman for the Interior Ministry, says the attackers are battling Afghan security forces and that reinforcements had been dispatched to the area on Monday.
Rahimi had no word on casualties but confirmed gunshots and an explosion in the area.
