Amanda and Kyle were eagerly awaiting their third child, Barrett, when Amanda’s 20-week ultrasound revealed her baby had CDH, congenital diaphragmatic hernia. To get the specialized care that Barrett needed, Amanda and Kyle were referred to the Fetal Care Center and prepared to deliver their child at the Women & Infants Center.
The Women & Infants Center is a unique partnership among three top-rated institutions: Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and our physician partners and researchers from Washington University School of Medicine. Located on the Washington University Medical Campus, labor and delivery are connected to the NICU, allowing mothers immediate access to their newborns who need intensive care.
