The victor of Congo's four-month civil war Denis Sassou Nguesso was on Saturday (25/10) sworn-in as president and promptly announced a forum would be set up to restore democracy to the war-torn country. Sassou Nguesso was sworn-in as president at the Brazzaville
parliament, after being named the country's head of state by a supreme court which he established. Nguesso was previously president of Congo from 1979 until 1992.
