There was a mixture of pride and anticipation at Looe Lifeboat Station tonight (31st August 2016) as the volunteer crew launched their Atlantic 75 inshore lifeboat B-793 Alan and Margaret for her final training mission.
Pride - as the Atlantic 75 enters her final week of 13 years service at Looe Lifeboat Station before returning to The Inshore Lifeboat Centre at Poole for refurbishment and her next assignment.
Anticipation - as the volunteer crew await the arrival of their new Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat recently completed at The Inshore Lifeboat Centre.
Here are a selection of images and a short video taken as dusk falls over Looe river of the Atlantic 75 taking a spin around Looe bay before returning to the boathouse escorted by the D Class ILB D-741 Ollie Naismith.
