[ Ссылка ] The smokeless fire pit at Wheaton Labs got some improvements, when Brian a boot at the Permaculture Bootcamp came to Wheaton Labs! Otter explains the original design of the pipe that brought in oxygen to the base of the fire pit, and how the new and improved vortex design works. The walls of the fire pit are raised a bit, and the walls are sealed with adobe to make them airtight. A few openings are created to the bottom of the wall to create the vortex effect.
- The Original Design: A pipe was bringing oxygen under the fire.
- The New Vortex Design: Oxygen comes in from around the fire.
- Dry Stacking and Adobe: The fire pit walls were raised and sealed with openings for the oxygen to vortex around the fire.
- Cleaner Burn: Air swirls around the fire, air is drawn faster to the coals which increases the temperature and oxygen delivery.
- Test Fire: Fire is actually twisting with the vortexes.
