Here's some tips as I walk you through the process of how to change out a striker plate for a door latch. This one was placed too high and wasn't allowing the striker to catch so it could hold in place. This also prevents the door from locking! I show you how to physically lower the plate so as to catch the door and hold it. It's a common problem, and with the simplest of tools, you'll have it fixed within an hour!
