If you ever have the chance to go to Kobe City in Kansai, one thing you have to try is the world famous Kobe wagyu Beef! We were lucky enough to be invited out to the FIRST Teppanyaki Steak Restaurant in Japan, Misono. This establishment popularized the idea of having chefs cook delicious food right in front of you. They came about in 1945 and was overwhelming popular with American Soldiers at the time. Teppanyaki quickly spread throughout the city and eventually the country. If you are also looking for things to do in Kobe, I really recommend checking out Ikuta Shrine and Nunobiki Falls. Both are beautiful areas rich with history older than Misono itself.
