I talk about:
#1. specific hashtags to use on Instagram for brands to find you
#2. utilizing the location feature well so that you are discoverable to brands in your area that are hosting an event!
#3. reaching out to brands directly - I'm a social media manager and most of my PR list is from incoming DMs!

Events are a great way to meet other creators in your city, as well as connect with brands hosting the event. It never hurts to reach out to a brand and ask if they are hosting any events in your city, but every event I've been invited to in LA has been by being discoverable on Instagram. Los Angeles events are HUGE and brands are always looking for creators and micro influencers to come attend!
