The W223 Mercedes Benz S500 is a top-of-the-line luxury sedan that delivers an exceptional driving experience. Since my first experience of the W140 or as it's known the "cathedral" many moons back, I have always had a soft spot for the S-Class. This latest one has put simply "risen to the occasion!"

The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that delivers smooth and responsive shifts, making the S500 a joy to drive. The car is also equipped with a 48-volt hybrid system that provides additional power and improves fuel efficiency.

One of the standout features of the S500 is its advanced technology. The car is equipped with a large 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen display that houses the infotainment system, which is easy to use and responsive. The system includes a navigation system, a premium sound system, and various connectivity options such as Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The S500 also features a digital 3-dimensional instrument cluster that can be customized to display a variety of information. The lastest in terms of MBUX is on offer to tailor the whole experience and 4D surround Burmeister sound just adds to the occasion.

The car also has a 360-degree camera system that provides a bird's-eye view of the vehicle, making it easier to navigate tight spaces. From radar-guided cruise control, semi-autonomous drive to more safety systems than I could care to mention, the S-Class exceeds all expectations in terms of ride quality, safety, and technology.

Overall, the W223 Mercedes Benz S500 is an outstanding luxury sedan that offers a comfortable and refined driving experience, advanced technology, and exceptional safety features. While it comes with a high price tag, the S500 delivers a level of quality and sophistication that is hard to match. If you're in the market for a top-of-the-line luxury sedan, the S500 is definitely worth considering.
