The Communication Workers Union has thrown its support behind the SABC board and its suspension of SABC Group CEO, Solly Mokoetle. Speaking at a press briefing in Johannesburg, CWU deputy general secretary, Thabo Mogalane, said the suspension would allow the board to get to the bottom of the matter and bring stability to the troubled public broadcaster.
The union also criticized President Jacob Zuma's visit to China and blamed the state for the death of innocent people because of what it dubbed, "the state's reluctance in this wage agreement".
