In US news and current events today, at the New Hampshire Primary Pete Buttigieg cheered his supporters in Nashua. Senator Bernie Sanders managed to get more overall votes than Pete Buttigieg, however they each earned the same number of delegates. Delegates are awarded proportionally so with success in NH he’ll be adding 9 more to his total delegate count after initial success in Iowa, with the Iowa caucus. It takes 1,990 pledged delegates to win the Democratic nomination.
