Orange City Council, with help from Central Tablelands Local Land Services, installed a floating habitat island at Gosling Creek Reservoir, Orange . The island will attract migratory birds with the provision of predator free nesting sites, refuge and habitat. Examples of migratory species that frequent Gosling Creek Reservoir and the surrounding area include: the Hardhead, Eurasian Coot, Black Swan and Superb Parrot.
