Risks of surgery are bleeding and infection. The main risk of tubal reversal is ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. The main risk of pregnancy after Essure reversal is weakening of the uterus. Dr. Monteith recommends Essure reversal patients have a planned c-section to prevent rupture of the uterus during the third trimester of pregnancy.
