After a two hour drive from Havana, we arrived in the Viñales Valley in western Cuba. First, we got a fantastic view from a lookout point, and then we went to a Tobacco farm where we were shown how Cuban cigars are made then bought some to smoke (gave a few as gifts). Went on to see the Caves of the Slaves, a hiding place for escaped slaves during the plantations. Also went to see the Indian Caves where we went on a boat down through the caverns and saw some breathtaking rock formations. Afterwards, we travelled to passed the Mural de PreHistory, a massive painting on the cliff face which depicted Cuba prior to Colonial Spain. Then hiked up Los Migotes to get another excellent view of the whole valley. We came back to Havana where we smoked a few cigars and went to La Floridita, Ernest Hemingway's favourite bar.
